Mixtape Review | Young Scooter – Jug Season

Damn… I was kinda hoping I would be able to listen to a good project soon, but ain’t nothing but wack shit on my schedule. Fuck… This better be some good ass trap music. I fuck with trap music. I fuck with Gucci Mane. I fuck with drill music too. Lil Herb is that nigga. I could never really get into Young Scooter tho… I only got one song by him called Disfunction. That beat was fucking crazy. Metro Boomin’ is a good ass producer. I don’t see any production credits from him on this thing. This is probably gonna suck ass. It’s got a user rating of 85 on HotNewHipHop, but they usually dickride everything. I really hope this isn’t terrible. I don’t like to listen to bad music. Click here to listen to this tape.

Track 1: Intro Feat. OG Double D (Prod. Stack Boy Twaun)

I have no idea who the fuck OG Double D is, but I think I heard of Stack Boy Twaun before. Actually I think the only reason I know his name is ’cause I seent his name when I was looking at the tracklist for this same project. I be dumb sometimes, man. I be a dumb boy sometimes. I’m smart tho, ya know, I be gettin’… I be gettin’ good grades a lot. I get some good grades, man. Oh shit I remember now. Stack Boy Twaun produced Fight Night by Migos. This beat is cool I guess. Scooter got an average flow. I don’t know what the fuck jug is supposed to mean. I’m finna look it up. “On the streets makin money selling dope and robbing niggas usaully only trapstars know bout this life… Hoes come to them they dont need to chase them” – Urban Dictionary. This is fucking stupid. This shit is making me mad for some reason. I don’t know why. I knew this nigga was dumb. His name is Young Scooter. Anyway, this is just a boring ass generic ass average ass trap song. Boring flow. Dumb ass bars. Wack hook. Not feelin’ it. 2/5

Track 2: Cocaina Mota (Prod. C-Sick)

This beat is actually kinda dope. Damn. This beat is fucking crazy. I fuck with this beat. Shit sound dope af. It’s real dark. This hook is cool. Of course he got some dumb ass bars. Nobody listens to Young Scooter for his bars. They wanna hear dope beats and catchy hooks. For a trap song, this shit is dope af. I fuck with this. 5/5

Track 3: On The Radar

There aren’t any production credits for this song. The beat’s hard af tho. The hook’s alright. His flow is kinda cool I guess. I know this is a bad song, but I like it for some reason. It’s probably just because of the beat. 3/5

Track 4: Pots & Stove Feat. Lil Boosie & Quick

Pots & Stoves

There aren’t any productions credits for this song either. The beat’s alright. Nothing special. The hook is wack. The bars are fucking stupid. No surprise there. This is boring. Of course Lil Boosie’s flow is all over the place. It’s a fucking mess. His voice is annoying af. I just can’t fuck with this nigga. And who the fuck is Quick? He sounds awful. There’s some kinda terrible effect on his voice. Sounds like his voice is made of garbage cans. Sounds like his neck is a garbage disposal and his voice is trying really hard to get through. Nah. I ain’t like this shit. 1/5

Track 5: Count Up (Prod. Cheeze Beatz)

This beat is dope. Scooter’s flow is a little sloppy. I fuck with this hook. It’s not bad. I fuck with this. 4/5

Track 6: Don’t Call My Phone Feat. Future (Prod. Cheeze Beatz)

What the fuck is this? This better be just an intro. I really hope that ain’t the hook. What the fuck? This is bad. Future sounds fucking terrible. He ain’t even on the hook. He got the first verse, and it sounds fucking awful. He sounds like he’s dying. This hook is a joke. This shit is wack af. The beat’s nothing special. This is terrible. Young Scooter didn’t even have a verse. This is just a shitty Future song with Young Scooter on the hook. 1/5

Track 7: All With Me Feat. Casino (Prod. DJ Mustard)

I only know Casino from that song Move That Dope by Future. He was also on the original version of Karate Chop, but I only ever heard the remix to that song. HIs verse on Move That Dope was wack. King Push had the best verse on that song. Anyway, this DJ Mustard beat sounds like every other DJ Mustard beat ever made. I think that’s Casino on the hook. It ain’t bad. This beat is annoying af. The hook is the only good thing about this song. The annoying ass beat overpowers the vocals, so you can barely hear them. Young Scooter got his average lazy ass flow with wack bars. Casino is surprisingly the best part of this song. All he do is the hook, but it’s not bad. The song ends really abruptly. It’s just the hook, then a short verse from Scooter, then the hook again. The song is only a minute and 23 seconds long. This song isn’t good. Not feelin’ it. 2/5

Track 8: G5 (Prod. DJ Finesse)

This beat is average. I kinda like this hook. “Fuck with Young Scooter everybody gon die.” His vocals got real quiet once his verse started. This is a pretty boring track. It would have to have at least 2 features to be worth downloading. It ain’t terrible, but it’s just not that good. 3/5

Track 9: Show You Right Feat. LV (Prod. Stack Boy Twaun)

This beat is dope af. The hook could be better. Young Scooter talkin’ about Mike Brown. He’s gonna murder some cops and judges. That’s not helping, man. LV’s flow is a mess. It gets better after the first few bars. This actually ain’t that bad. The bars are stupid af, but this song is dope sonically. I fuck with this. 4/5

Track 10: Millions (Prod. Zaytoven)

This beat is alright. It ain’t bad, but it’s nothin’ special. Boring hook. Lazy flow. Weak bars. Not feelin’ it. 2/5

Track 11: Never Hide Feat. K Blacka

No production credits for this song. K Blacka’s hook is stupid af. He got a high ass voice. His verse is average. Average flow. Weak bars, but average for a trap song. Young Scooter’s verse is boring af. This isn’t very good. The beat’s boring. It’s not that bad, but it just isn’t good. 3/5

Track 12: Real Diamonds Feat. Ralo Maceo (Prod. Chophouze)

The beat’s alright. What the fuck? This nigga Ralo Maceo’s voice is high af. He kinda sound like PeeWee Longway mixed with Young Thug. I ain’t liked his verse. This hook is wack. Ralo Maceo must be more than one person because I have no idea who the fuck this is on the second verse. Is that Young Scooter on the hook? I think it is. This isn’t very good. Oh shit. When Young Scooter’s verse started there was this fucked up pitch shift at the end of his first bar and I got scared. It’s probably because I’m tired right now. It’s late. Real late. I should go to sleep. I got school tomorrow. I wish it snowed today and I didn’t have school. That would be BADASS. I’m not feelin’ this. 2/5

Track 13: Real OGs (Prod. DJ Finesse)

If you’re gonna make a song about me it better be good af. This ain’t good enough. I respect his salutation tho. This beat is boring af. This hook is boring af. These bars are boring af. His flow is boring af. This song is boring af. 1/5

Track 14: Same Life Feat. OJ The Juiceman (Prod. Zaytoven)

I fuck with OJ The Juiceman. This beat is cool. Boring hook. OJ’s vocals is a little too loud. “Most dese rappers gay” Ok. Should I take off points for being offensive? It’s a trap song… I guess so. If he said something like “Fuck dese asians” I would definitely take off points. Sexual orientation is different from ethnicity, but this is still pretty bad. It ain’t even a good song anyway. The bars are boring as fuck. I was hoping OJ would bring more energy than that. Scooter just sounds like he’s faded all the time. This is boring. Shit wack af. 1/5

Track 15: What’s Wrong With The Streets Feat. Young Dolph

No production credits… but this beat dope af. The hook is boring. Most of Scooter’s hooks are boring af. Actually, most of his songs in general are boring af. He has no energy. Young Dolph sounds great over this beat. His flow is so much better than Scooter’s. It ain’t even that good, but it sounds amazing after listening to Young Scooter. This song is definitely better than the last few, but Young Scooter kinda ruins it. He’s just so boring. He got no energy. Young Dolph stole the show. His verse wasn’t even that good. This isn’t a good song, but it’s not that bad. 3/5

Track 16: Talk Down Feat. OG Boo Dirty

No production credits. The beat’s dope af. What the fuck? Young Scooter’s verse falls apart towards the end. He just kinda… gave up. OG Boo Dirty’s verse was actually pretty boring. The hook’s wack, but not as wack as the other ones on this tape. I’m not feelin’ this shit. 2/5

Track 17: In Loving Memory (Prod. DJ Finesse)

This beat’s crazy. The hook’s wack. He’s got a lot more energy on this track. His bars are still wack. Average flow. The beat’s crazy and he got a lot more energy, but it just isn’t a very good song. 3/5

Final Thoughts:

That shit was boring af. Young Scooter really isn’t a good rapper. He’s just tolerable. He’s probably one of the most boring trap rappers. Young Thug is wack af, but at least he’s interesting. Young Scooter has no energy, terrible hooks, a lazy flow, and he chooses pretty generic beats most of the time. If you already ride this niggas dick all the time, this tape isn’t gonna make you wanna hop off. He’s never been that interesting of a rapper and he probably never will be. This isn’t different from any of the other shit he ever puts out. Just more. These trap niggas really need to learn the phrase “Quality over quantity.” Especially Gucci. I kinda like Guwop tho… But this shit right here is boring af.
