This album was released in 2011 and is probably Tech N9ne’s most recognizable project. The first Worldwide Choppers song is on this project and I think the first song Tech & Hopsin ever collaborated on is too. There’s a song with Lil Wayne & T-Pain on here, so this was one of the first times Tech ever really got any radio play. That song was a lot of people’s introduction to Tech N9ne. I’m definitely only gonna be reviewing the standard edition of this album. If you count all the bonus tracks for this album there are THIRTY ONE tracks. Hell nah. I’m definitely not reviewing 31 fucking tracks. The version I’m reviewing only has twenty four songs, which is still an ass load of tracks. I’m expecting this to be dope, mostly because I’ve already heard some of the songs on this project and everything sounds pretty great so far. This might actually end up being dope af. I’m not getting my hopes up tho.
Track 1: The Pledge (Intro) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
This is just a recital of the same pledge that was in that song Straight Out The Gate from Something Else. I guess this is where it came from. This isn’t a song and there’s really no reason for me to not delete this. Not gonna give this a rating since it’s not an actual song.
Track 2: Technicians (Prod. Soleternity)
For those of you who don’t know, Technician is the term that Tech N9ne uses for his fans. Kinda like the Juggalos except 1000x less stupid. This beat is dope. Tech’s flow is on point. He’s basically trying to recruit as many technicians as possible. It’s like he’s the leader of an army and he’s trying to get people to join him. This hook is kinda stupid, but I like it. It’s got people chanting a bunch of shit, but I didn’t think it was that stupid until they said, “We do! The shit! We do!” It just sounded kinda stupid. Goddamn. His flow is getting doper and doper. He fucking killed that second verse. Goddamn. That last verse was really short, but his fucking flow was amazing. The hook was a little stupid and I wasn’t blown away by the beat, but his verses was great. Speaking of the beat, it kinda sounds like dubstep, but it isn’t as over the top or obnoxious as a typical Skrillex song. I usually hate dubstep, but I don’t think this was that bad. I fuck with this song. This song is dope. 4/5
Track 3: Military (Skit) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
This is stupid as fuck. It’s just a bunch of soldiers marching and reciting The Pledge AGAIN. This was so unnecessary. I’m not gonna give it a rating tho.
Track 4: Am I A Psycho? Feat. Hopsin & B.o.B (Prod. B.o.B)
This song opens up with someone (I think it’s Hopsin) singing the hook. He’s just singin’ the words, “Am I a psycho?” It actually sounds pretty good. I like it. Tech N9ne’s goin’ in right now. The first four bars are pitch shifted. It’s not bad, but if he didn’t go back to his regular voice after the fourth bar it would’ve gotten annoying. His flow is fucking crazy on this song. It was good on the last song, but it sounds really good here. He’s rappin’ about weird sexual fetish shit. He said that he let a stripper burn him with a cigarette. He also bit some chick’s neck because she wasn’t lettin’ him smash. “I like fire on my skin, blood on my draws / From up on her walls, I’m suffering, I’m stuck in her claws / Stuffed in her jaws, huffing and puffing, hollering, I’m a dog / Afterwards, I like really hot scalding water on my balls.” That last part where he mentioned roasting nuts wasn’t a lie. He was dead ass serious about burnin’ his nuts. He confirmed it in an interview and, needless to say, Krizz Kaliko was mortified.
I’m just gonna assume that the part about “blood on my draws from up on her walls” was made up. Hopsin’s goin’ in now. He’s rappin’ about murdering people instead of weird fetishes. He does however end up sneaking a line about his orbs in. “Every day my balls are getting too hairy to shave.” His verse was pretty good. His flow was great. B.o.B’s goin’ in now. Damn… He actually… B.o.B fucking killed that verse. This might be one of the best verses that I’ve ever heard from him. “I see your tears, come here, give me your face, let me clear it / But I wonder how it would look if I were to peel it back with a skillet / Then I’ma feel it crack when I hit it / Then I’ma split it back when you heal it.” I really liked that verse. He honestly had the best verse in my opinion. He needs to rap like that more often. I fuck with this song. This song is dope af. 5/5
Track 5: He’s A Mental Giant (Prod. Seven)
This is one of the few songs that I’ve heard from this album and I fucking love it. The sample is pretty obscure, but it works really well. It comes from an animated short by some guy named Walter Lantz (who was no doubt incredibly racist) called Boy Meets Dog. It was made in the late 1930s.
It’s mainly used during the hook of this song, which is incredibly catchy. Tech is basically just braggin’ about how dope of a rapper he is. He fucking kills every verse. I personally think that the first verse is the most exciting. His flow is fucking impeccable on this track. Seven did a fucking great ass job with this beat too. As soon as the drums come in your head instinctively starts nodding. It’s fucking great. “Cause we splat little bitty braggin’ wack rappers / You happen to be the bastard that got mashed up / But down to the simple fact here’s a strap past ya, blast at ya / That’s after the yappin’ I put the cash in my last chapter, that’s laughter.” Everything about this song is exactly the way it should be. I fucking love this song. This song is dope af. 5/5
Track 6: Worldwide Choppers Feat. Ceza, JL, U$O, Yelawolf, Twista, Busta Rhymes, D-Loc & Twisted Insane (Prod. Seven)
I’ve only heard this song one time and the only thing that I really remember is that Busta Rhymes fucking destroyed this shit. I never heard either of the Midwest Chopper songs. Okay, the song is starting now. What the fuck? This isn’t even English. OOOOOHHHHHHH! Damn. I forgot this is WORLDWIDE Choppers. I didn’t expect Tech to actually get rappers from different countries that don’t even speak the same language as him. This is cool tho. I’ve heard French rappers before, but that’s pretty much it. I’ve never heard anyone from Turkey rap. This is Ceza by the way. I have no idea what he’s saying… His flow is fucking great tho. His verse was real short. It was like 6 bars long. I guess that was just an intro because Tech is just sayin’ random shit now. He’s about to go in now. Okay, now he’s rapping. This beat is fucking crazy. He fucking killed it. He was goin’ so fast that I could barely understand some of the shit he was saying. Tech is singin’ the hook and it actually sounds pretty good. I fuck with the hook. Okay, the only way anyone could ever fuck this shit up is if they have a wack verse because the hook and beat are dope. JL just spit a real short verse. He spit like 8 bars in 5 seconds. U$O is goin’ in now. He doesn’t speak English. He’s from Denmark. It sounded good to me. Damn. Yelawolf’s goin’ in. I didn’t know he was considered a chopper, but he’s goin’ the fuck in right now. He fuckin’ killed it. Twista’s goin’ in right now. Twista is fucking crazy. Man. This is fucking incredible. Fuck YES. Busta’s goin’ in now. God. GODDAMN! Busta absolutely fucking destroyed this fucking shit. People always call Busta a legend, but not a lot of people actually consider him one. If he spit like that more often then they definitely would. Damn. That was fucking phenomenal. Why the fuck doesn’t he rap like that anymore? Seriously he needs to stop fuckin’ around and start trying again. I’m getting pissed off thinkin’ about this. That song Calm Down with Eminem was fucking great. He better not release anymore bullshit like Twerk It. That song is fucking horrible. Calm Down made me excited for Extinction Level Event 2, but Twerk It just made me really worried. He better not fuck that album up. Seriously. I wanna hear a good Busta Rhymes album. D-Loc is goin’ in now. His verse was great. And then Twisted Insane just comes through in the end and demolishes this shit. Wow. This fucking song right here is nothing but pure talent. This is fucking talent. You can not listen to a song like this and then call any of these rappers wack. It just wouldn’t make sense. Some of them may make wack songs from time to time (Busta, Yelawolf… Even Tech tbh), but you can’t deny the fact that they have fucking talent. This song is fucking unbelievable. There were 9 verses. The song is only five and a half minutes long. How is this shit even possible. When I listen to this song it just makes me want to hear more music. I just want to hear a song by Eminem, Busta Rhymes & Tech N9ne where they’re all trading bars. That would be fucking incredible. On a DJ Dahi beat. Yes. Anyway, if you couldn’t tell already, I absolutely fuck with this song. This is fucking dope af. 5/5
Track 7: We Miss You Man (Skit) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
I don’t even know why the fuck this is here. It’s just Tech laughin’ about some story that he’s telling. I think he’s talkin’ about some guy that died, but I don’t know who it is and even if I did I probably wouldn’t wanna hear about him in the middle of this album. Wow. I’m writing this part about 30 days after I wrote the first three sentences. I kinda came off as a heartless dick. I was basically just tryna say that this skit is unnecessary. It doesn’t really take away from the album in any way. It definitely doesn’t add to it tho…
Track 8: I Love Music Feat. Oobergeek & Kendrick Lamar (Prod. EmayDee)
This is probably gonna be dope af. If you don’t know, Oobergeek is Tech N9ne’s… Brother? I think they’re brothers… I know they’re related. His name is Marcus Yates. Kendrick Lamar is obviously one of my favorite rappers. I’m so tired. Why am I always tired when I do these reviews? This beat is alright I guess. It’s honestly kinda shitty, but it works. Is that an organ? Is that what that instrument is? It just sounds really choppy and disjointed to me. It works tho. Maybe it’s just Tech’s flow. His rapid flow doesn’t really seem to fit well over this production. Maybe we’ll see what it sounds like when Oobergeek & Kendrick come on. I really like that name Oobergeek. I don’t know why. I think Strange Music artists are good at picking rapper names. Godemis, Ubiquitous, ¡MayDay! & Wrekonize are all great names in my opinion. Anyway, Tech’s verse wasn’t bad. This beat just isn’t very good and neither is the hook. Oobergeek’s about to go in. Yeah his flow sounded a lot less… weird on this beat than Tech’s did. His verse was dope. “Don’t you dare say good music skipped my generation / Your hatin’ ain’t nothin’ but motivation for these compilations.” Krizz Kaliko is sorta singin’ in the background during the hook and it sounds pretty good, but the actual hook itself just isn’t very good. It’s some chick singin’ “I love music” and it has the exact same melody as the beat. Kendrick’s verse was dope af. Krizz Kaliko is singin’ on the bridge and it actually sounds pretty goddamn good. I liked the verses (Tech surprisingly had my least favorite verse), but sonically it just isn’t a very good song. The topic isn’t super interesting and deep, but it’s at least relatable. This is alright I guess. If you don’t care about music sounding shitty, you’ll like this. 3/5
Track 9: Strangeland (Prod. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League)
This beat is fucking crazy. I feel like I’ve heard this sample before… I can’t remember exactly what song I heard it on tho… Fuck. I really wish I knew. It sounds very dream like and kinda creepy. I feel like I’m in that level of Kingdom Hearts II where you’re running through the underworld looking for Hercules. I apologize if you have no idea what I’m talkin’ about. I fucking love this beat tho. The mysterious and dreamy beat fits really well because the opening skit to this song is basically a parody of Alice In Wonderland. It’s basically Tech In Strangeland. The lyrics of this song kinda make Strange Music sound like a cult. “Making havens, next to all this hate and crazing / Death: We call it a place of consummation.” I fucking love it tho. This first verse is fucking crazy. I don’t know which lyrics to quote. I wish I could just transcribe the whole verse here. The hook isn’t bad. There’s some chick singin’, but her part is real small. It’s mostly just Tech talkin’ about Strangeland. This is fucking great. Everything about this song is great. I love the cryptic and dreamy sound. Each verse is absolutely crazy. I fuck with this shit right here. This is fucking dope af. I found the song that I heard this beat in by the way. It’s a track by Krayzie Bone called Medication Meditation. You should check it out. It’s dope af. 5/5
Track 10: Call From Richie (Skit) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
This is just a message left by some guy named Richie who’s talkin’ about an interview or something. I really don’t give a shit. I have no idea what he’s talkin’ about. He said some shit about “dark records” and “I didn’t know.” I don’t know either. I don’t know what the fuck he’s talkin’ about. All I know is that he saw an interview from HipHopDX. I don’t even know if it was a Tech N9ne interview tho. I have no idea what this phone call is about.
Track 11: The Boogieman Feat. First Degree The D.E. & Stokley Williams (Prod. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League)
This beat is great. It sounds really dark. Tech’s vocals are slightly pitch shifted, but for some reason it isn’t really bothering me as much as it normally would. It might have something to do with him not losing his energetic delivery. He isn’t screaming or anything, but he doesn’t sound like he’s about to pass out. My problem with the way Houston handles pitch shifting is that every time they do it it sound like they’re really sick or half dead. It seems like Tech’s just trying to match the energy of this beat. He sounds better than most people with pitch shifted vocals. I still don’t really like it tho. It doesn’t add anything to the song. It’s annoying. I’m not sure who Stokley Williams is. What the fuck kinda name is Stokley? I know I heard a song in which he… She? Is Stokley a girl name? I know I heard a song in which Stokley Williams was featured, but I don’t really remember anything about it. I don’t even remember who the primary artist was. I probably didn’t like the song. There was some chick on the intro of this song rappin’ about a boogieman and it was the corniest thing I have ever heard in my life. Okay, I’m obviously exaggerating, but not that much. It was so bad. That might be Stokley Williams on the hook. He is singing his motherfucking ass off right now. This song is really hard to take seriously. Stokley’s singin’ so hard, but the shit he’s sayin’ is just… I don’t know. “He’s underneath your bed / Trapped inside your head / You try to fight it / But you decide it’s just that / Boogieman.” He was singing his ass off, but it was SO fucking corny. Nah. I can’t fuck with this song. It’s not horrible, but it’s definitely not good. If it wasn’t so corny I might’ve liked. But nah. This is unforgivably corny. 3/5
Track 12: Cult Leader Feat. Liz Suwandi (Prod. Seven)
If y’all don’t know, Tech N9ne used to get accused of being a cult leader and/or devil worshipper by suburban white women all the time. This was mostly after he dropped his third album, Anghellic. People saw this energetic black guy who had red spiked hair and wore face paint and said to themselves, “that MUST be Satan.” The whole Cult part of it was mostly due to the observation of Tech’s loyal fans, but there were and still are a ton of Metal fans who do way crazier shit than Tech N9ne fans. It’s so fucking annoying how quick people are to accuse people of such horrible things without knowing anything at all about what they’re talking about. That’s just fucked up. So yeah, this song is obviously gonna be about Tech’s frustrations with these accusations. He’s made songs about this before. This beat is very loud and energetic. Liz Suwandi is singin’ on the hook and it sounds pretty good. Her features on Tech songs don’t always work for me, but this is good. Woah. Tech’s voice sounds weird on this song. Maybe it’s because he was younger. This album came out back when Tech still had hair. It doesn’t sound bad. It’s just noticeable. This beat is fucking crazy. Seven’s beats always sound like a full band. Tech’s flow is on point. Tech is actually rapping from the perspective of a cult leader. He’s just trying to get his followers to be good people and promote happiness. This idea of gangs that help to make the world a better place really isn’t that uncommon in Hip Hop. This is fucking great. Liz Suwandi’s hook was actually really good. Tech did what he does best. Seven’s beat was great too. This is dope af. 5/5
Track 13: Call From KC Poet Camille (Skit) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
This is a call from a poet I guess and she’s rapping to Tech N9ne. Oh. This is pretty… Graphic. Oh this is actually dope af. At first she was rappin’ about fuckin’ this dude, but after that I guess they’re a couple and now she’s rappin’ about him pissin’ her the FUCK off. She’s talkin’ about how he ain’t shit and he can’t fuck her good. “Nigga you sweatin’ like a motherfucker and I don’t feel shit / Why did I even let you hit? / Pass me my vibrator so I can finish this.” That was graphic as fuck, but it was pretty entertaining. I don’t know if I would’ve enjoyed a full song of this shit, but I enjoyed it. I think.
Track 14: Fuck Food Feat. Lil Wayne, T-Pain & Krizz Kaliko (Prod. Seven)
Wow. Man… I miss when T-Pain was big. I don’t really love autotune, but I’d much rather have T-Pain than Future. Future is soooooo fucking bad. It’s unrealistic how bad he is. I’m really confused by the title of this song. Fuck food? That’s one of the most horrible, ungrateful things anyone could ever say. I’m really confused. Why would he say something like that? Is his food addiction really that bad? I’m just gonna go ahead and press play. The intro to the beat sounds really dramatic. T-Pain is just yelling with a ton of autotune and it sounds horrible. It’s still better than Future, but goddamn it’s so cacophonous. The beat just dropped. It sounds a lot less dramatic. It’s dope. Not amazing tho. Okay now I’m really confused. He’s just talkin’ about havin’ sex. I hate it when he makes music like this. His first verse isn’t that graphic on this song tho. Except for one line… “I just wanna bite you and watch you drip out Romanée-Conti.” This topic doesn’t really interest me. Sonically, it isn’t terrible. The beat’s alright and Tech’s flow is on point. Maybe T-Pain or Weezy will improve this shit. I doubt it tho. This song released around the Carter IV era, so his verse will probably be incredibly vulgar. T-Pain’s hook is starting now. It’s not good. T-Pain is saying, “I ain’t playing, tryna get my dick sucked through my jeans” and then Tech says, “The girls sure look like fuck food to me” and it’s pitch shifted. What the fuck is fuck food? Are you feeding your dick? If anything YOU’RE the fuck food because her… Never mind. This hook is bad. T-Pain’s vocals don’t sound good on this shit. It just sounds really loud and high pitched. It sounds like metal being scraped together. If you want to hear a robot yelling right in your fuckin’ ear, you’ll love this shit. Lil Wayne’s verse was fucking horrible. “I wax that ass like a Q-Tip.” Really? Really, Wayne? You said that shit? You really thought that was a clever line, huh? Get the fuck outta here, man. That’s some of the dumbest shit I ever heard. “I eat that pussy like the last supper / Yeah, I beat that pussy like brass knuckles.” What the fuck? How is this man even allowed to say shit like this? Don’t the morality police say, “This guy is a fucking monster. We gotta get him outta here?” What the fuck? Lil Wayne says fucking horrible shit. He says some of the most fucked up shit I’ve ever heard in my life. One line in particular comes to mind. It’s really just the same exact line, except instead of “brass knuckles” he says “EMMETT TILL.” That’s right. “I beat the pussy up like Emmet Till” is a real thing that Dwayne Carter really said out loud in a real song that people paid for. I don’t even know what the fuck to say to shit like that. WHY? HOW? HOW IS HE… HOW? I’m getting sidetracked, let’s talk about this song. What other lines did Wayne embarrass himself with? “Now close your mouth, don’t waste it / I got that fuck food, baby, come taste it.” You know what’s funny? I’m pretty sure that it’s some of the most homophobic people in the US that love hearing Wayne talk about his own dick. If you listen to music like this, it almost seems like you’re actively saying, “I like hearing about other men’s penises!” Terrible. Lil Wayne’s verse: fucking horrible. Unsurprisingly, T-Pain doesn’t have a verse. Tech’s goin’ in again. “I don’t have to give ‘em stacks for me to mash within ‘em / I’m they master, hit ‘em with a lash and a nigga fast to stick ‘em.” Wow. WOW. The lyrics in Tech’s second verse are somehow even more obscene than those in Wayne’s verse. First of all, who the fuck uses the word “mash” as a sexual term? You’re really just reachin’ at that point. I thought it was weird when people started sayin’ “smash,” but “mash” just seems so much worse. I don’t know why. Let’s get to the real problem here tho. “I’m they master, hit ‘em with a lash.” Why do I always here references to our people being brutally murdered whenever rappers are talking about sex? All sanity and respect for anything goes straight out the window when men are thinking about sex. Fucking ridiculous. For shame, Tech. For motherfucking shame. Imagine a video of a guy hanging himself while masterbating. Imagine that in the form of a song. That’s what this is. This song is absolutely terrible to me. I can’t fuck with this shit. This is wack af. Absolute dogshite. 0/5
Track 15: Overtime Feat. Stevie Stone (Prod. Bridges)
Krizz Kaliko is in this song, but he isn’t credited for whatever reason. Oh no. Oh no. This… This is not gonna be good. I’ve only heard the intro and the first two bars of Krizz Kaliko’s hook, but it’s already clear that this isn’t gonna be a very good song. The title “Overtime” is referring to the duration of Tech N9ne’s sexual activity with a girl who is apparently 10 years younger than him. Not sure why he felt the need to give us that wonderful piece of information. I’m 21 seconds in and I know that isn’t a lot, but from what I’ve heard so far this is absolutely not for me. I don’t like this topic and I doubt that Krizz Kaliko’s overdramatic singing can save it. If anything Stevie Stone’s verse will save it along with Tech’s flow, but I seriously doubt it’ll be good enough. Okay, I’m gonna press play now. I like this beat and Tech sounds great over it, but I just can’t take the lyrics and the hook just isn’t very good. “No I don’t look it, but I’m the older kind / But that don’t mean Ima stick it & quit it / Forget it because tonight I’m ‘bout to get it in overtime.” Technically, Tech did a great ass job with the verse, but lyrically this is just hard to listen to. This hook is bad too. Maybe it’s the way Krizz is singin’ it, but it just doesn’t sound good to me. Stevie Stone’s verse was just like Tech’s. He sounded great and his flow wasn’t bad, but the lyrics just aren’t doin’ it for me. I don’t think his voice really fits over this beat that well either. Honestly, this whole topic doesn’t really fit over this beat. Maybe if it wasn’t specifically about sex I would like it. It ain’t workin’ for me tho. Tech’s goin’ in again. His flow sounds great, but… “Before the poonini you take the job and you shove it / Feel like a nigga makin’ love when I does it.” Stevie Stone comes in after Tech’s verse and it wasn’t very good. I’m not feelin’ this. The beat was cool and they flows wasn’t bad, but other than that this is pretty wack to me. 2/5
Track 16: Pornographic Feat. E-40, Krizz Kaliko & Snoop Dogg (Prod. Seven)
I doubt this will be any better than the last few tracks. This beat is cool I guess. It’s really different for Tech N9ne. It kinda sounds like something Clipse would’ve rapped over. Kinda. Tech’s lyrics are exactly what you think they’re about. “Get me closer to sticky soaking women.” “This is the culture where we kiss the chocha.” Krizz Kaliko is singing right now and it doesn’t sound very good. I guess that was just an interlude for Tech’s verse because he’s rapping again. This hook is pretty bad. Well the first part is. Actually the second part is too. The first part has some random chick singin’ about “pornagraphic oohohohhooohoohoh” and it sounds pretty terrible. After she’s done, Tech starts singin’ and it actually sounds pretty good, but the lyrics are just awful. “You can taste me / I’ll eat you up like DiGiorno.” Is it weird that I like Tech’s singin’ more than Krizz Kaliko’s? E-40 is about to go in. You know, I really like E-40, but I don’t think his verse is gonna be very good. There are very few rappers who don’t just make me uncomfortable when they’re rappin’ about shit like this. Yeah, I was right. “Cream on my thing like a wet dream / Pussy juice dripping just like PET milk.” “She took the rubber off and ate my sperm with a spoon.” I feel bad just quoting this shit. His flow was dope and he sounded pretty good over this beat, but I just can’t take this. “Booty cheeks tatted / pierced pussy lips.” Snoop is goin’ in now. “I make a dyke bitch like dick.” I wasn’t feelin’ his verse. His lyrics didn’t seem nearly as fucked up as E-40’s, but they still weren’t very good and his flow wasn’t that good either. “It took a minute just to write this.” You can definitely tell. This is a pretty bad song. Krizz Kaliko comes back to sing over the first part of the hook at the end and it sounds awful. He was singin’ way too hard. Sounded like he was screaming his ass off. I’m not feelin’ this shit at all. The topic doesn’t interest me, the beat is average at best, the lyrics are hard to listen to, the hook was wack and they flows… were pretty goddamn good to be honest. That can’t save this shit tho. I’m not feelin’ this shit at all. This is wack af. 1/5
Track 17: You Owe Like Pookie Feat. Jay Rock & Kutt Calhoun (Prod. Seven)
This album seems to have taken a dark turn. Hopefully things will pick up now that the sexual songs seem to be over with. What the fuck? This hook is absolutely horrible. The way Tech’s singin’ this shit is unbearably corny. This is bad. The beat is pretty bad too. It’s just loud and annoying. It sounds real aggressive. I guess the aggression works for the topic, but damn. It doesn’t sound very good. Just like every other Tech N9ne song with Jay Rock and Kutt Calhoun (& sometimes Krizz Kaliko. Not this time tho…), this is supposed to be the hard gansta track on the album. “I was always taught by mama & ‘em to respect a woman.” He says that, but it’s hard to believe when you listen to the previous three tracks on this album. This hook sucks. I guess his verse was cool, but the whole “Pookie” thing is just kinda corny to me and the beat is just annoying. This hook is so bad. Kutt’s verse wasn’t that bad. His flow was pretty dope. Rock’s goin’ in now. His verse was dope af, but the way he was flowin’ just didn’t really seem to fit over this beat. I’m not feelin’ this shit. The two biggest problems that I have with this song are the hook and the beat. Jay Rock’s verse was great and Kutt did his thing, but the “Pookie” theme is corny to me. I can’t fuck with this. This is wack to me. Especially that beat. I can’t decide which is worse: The beat or the hook. I guess the beat. 2/5
Track 18: Delusional Feat. Nikkiya Brooks (Prod. WLPWR)
Holy fuck. This beat is absolutely insane. Tech’s flow is on point. He’s rappin’ about the fucked up shit in his life, like being called a cult leader. The way he’s rappin’ sounds great over this beat. It kinda reminds me of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. This hook is actually pretty good. Nikkiya is singin’ and it sounds good. Is this the same Nikkiya from I Need Answers by Dizzy Wright? It sounds like it. The first verse is a lot longer than the other two. They’re still dope tho. In the second verse he talks about how he isn’t a good father because he’s always on tour and he rarely sees his children. “Did a show then we ate then I’m outta that state / She said I’m a good provider, But daddy of the year? Man I’m out of that race.” This song is great. The beat is great and the hook actually sounds really good. I think Nikkiya did a better job on this song than she did on the Dizzy Wright track. It might not be the same person tho… But I think it is. Tech’s flow was great and the lyrics were actually good this time. He sounded great over this beat. There’s not one thing I didn’t like about this song. I fuck with this. This is dope af. 5/5
Track 19: So Lonely Feat. Blind Fury & Mackenzie O’Guin (Prod. Wyshmaster)
Blind Fury. I don’t know much about this guy, other than the fact that he’s a fucking badass. For those of you who can’t figure it out, Blind Fury is a blind rapper. He’s so fucking dope tho. If you’re good at something, that’s cool. But if you’re good at something AND you’re blind, that makes it so much more badass. The only reason I know about Blind Fury is because of the B.E.T. Cyphers. I remember seeing this blind guy rapping and I was like “…woah.” I hope Mackenzie just sings in the background like she did on Fear. Alright, it’s starting now. Eeeeehhhhhhh. Damn. Nah. Hahahahaha. Nah. I’m not feelin’ her vocals on this shit. I should’ve known that a song by Tech N9ne called “So Lonely” would suffer from cornyness. You know Olivia from Family Guy? Stewie’s ex-girlfriend? That’s what Mackenzie O’Guin’s vocals reminded me of. Tech’s vocals on the hook sound pretty good tho. He’s goin’ the fuck in on this first verse too. This beat is dope af. “Blow me with a bucket of hot feces poured on me.” …Excuse me? I kinda get that he would want his haters to blow him, but… Why… Why the fuck would he want to have steaming shit poured on him? Am I missing something? I’m so confused… The idea behind this song is that he’s in his own lane at the top and there’s nobody near him, which explains his loneliness. I guess it’s a cool idea. His flow on the first verse was dope and everything, but I don’t know. These lyrics are just… They aren’t horrible, but they don’t stand out much. The beat’s cool. Nothing special. This song would’ve been pretty good if it weren’t for Mackenzie O’Guin’s vocals. They were pretty unnecessary. They don’t really work over this fast paced beat. This is corny. Tech spits a few more bars at the beginning of the second verse before Blind Fury comes in. It’s not bad. Blind Fury’s verse was cool, but this song just isn’t doin’ it for me. I’m not feelin’ it. Corny. That’s it. It’s too corny. The beat was alright and both of the MCs did they thing (there were some questionable bars tho). The hook was alright I guess. I don’t know. Even without the vocals from Mackenzie something feels off. It must be the beat. It just doesn’t do it for me. I’m not feelin’ this shit. It’s not horrible, but nah. I can’t do this. This is wack to me. 2/5
Track 20: If I Could Feat. Chino Moreno & Stephen Carpenter (Prod. Seven)
Ah man. This beat is actually pretty dope. It has what sounds like electric guitars in the background. I’m not a fan of guitars, but it doesn’t sound bad here. Those might not even be guitars tho. I’m pretty goddamn stupid when it comes to instruments. Tech’s first verse is pretty great. “All away, all the day y’all ‘a say call the way / A loved one calls to say ‘All’s at Bay, hog and stay for a holiday.'” He’s rappin’ about how he never gets to see his family because he has to “HUSTLE” so hard. Apparently Tech toured in over 90 cities in just over 100 days for his Hostile Takeover Tour. Goddamn. How? That doesn’t even sound fun. That just sounds fucking exhausting. I would need to be hospitalized after the fourth city. He did a good job with that verse I guess. He said “bazerko.” I’ve noticed that Tech kinda stretches some of his rhymes by using his own made up slang. It’s not that big of a deal, but I just thought I should point it out. Oh God. This hook is… I don’t know. It really isn’t horrible, but I’m really not into rock music like that. If you like rock music and you’re a Tech N9ne fan, there’s really no reason for you to not like it. Chino’s vocals have kind of a weird effect on them. It doesn’t sound bad tho. I just don’t like the loud guitar that comes in and Chino’s vocals sound just a tad bit overdramatic. The electric guitar is just so obnoxious to me. Oh shit. I should probably mention that Chino Moreno & Stephen Carpenter are members of the band, Deftones. I think Chino Moreno (What a strange name) is the lead singer and Stephen Carpenter plays the guitar. Maybe bass guitar. As I said before, I don’t know shit about instruments. Stringed instruments at least. This really isn’t that bad of a song, but I can’t get behind it. If you like Tech N9ne you’ll probably like this, but I can’t do it. It’s alright I guess. 3/5
Track 21: Angry Caller (Skit) [Prod. Ben Cybulsky]
I’m not really sure what Ben Cybulsky did to get the credit for producing these skits. This is just a message left by some chick who is incredibly bitter for seemingly no reason at all. She called Tech a “nigga with a wack ass mohawk. A bitch ass nigga that don’t give a fuck about his self. Fuck you bitch.” That’s it. No reason at all for me to not delete this track.
Track 22: Love Me Tomorrow Feat. Big Scoob (Prod. Seven)
I fuck with Big Scoob. This beat is dope af. It sounds like it’s led by a guitar. Not sure. Tech’s flow is fucking crazy on this one. Uh oh. The hook. Krizz. Krizz Kaliko. Why isn’t he credited on any of these songs? The does not sound good at all. He sounds like fuckin’ Cee-Lo Green. Well, maybe it’s not that bad. Tech’s talkin’ about how his fans are callin’ him a sellout just because he worked with bigger artists like Lil Wayne. I’ve never seen any Tech fans call him a sellout, but it’s not hard to believe. If an artist is even remotely successful in any way, he’ll have fans calling him a sellout. This really isn’t that bad of a song, but the fucking hook is not good. It’s not good at all. It’s way too dramatic. Okay, Big Scoob’s goin’ in now. His verse was pretty dope. I liked the verses and the beat wasn’t that bad, but the fucking hook is just too much for me. Nah. I can’t do it. It’s not a horrible song. It’s not good tho. It’s alright. 3/5
Track 23: Mama Nem (Prod. David Sanders II)
This is clearly gonna be another song dedicated to his mother. She hadn’t passed away at this point. I like this beat. It sounds kinda… It’s just a little too… I don’t know. The horns are a little too much. I think this one might be a little over produced. The horns just make it hard to take seriously. It’s not that bad tho. I kinda like the horns. I don’t know. I like the beat. That’s all you gotta know. I don’t know what to tell you about the verse I’m listening to. It’s great. That’s really all I can tell you. He’s talkin’ about all the shit his mama did for him when he was littler. Oh. Oh my God. No. No. He didn’t. He couldn’t have. Why would he… Why am I hearing Krizz Kaliko’s voice? He makes this shit so hard to take seriously. Just look at him in the music video. He looks like a fat black Albert Einstein. Why is he in this song? Why didn’t Tech sing it himself. You don’t get help from people on songs like this. I gave Mackenzie O’Guin a pass on Fear because she was just in the background. You don’t do this tho. Tech N9ne really isn’t that bad of a singer. Y’all may disagree, but I have no doubts that this song would be far better if Tech did the hook himself. Tech did a good job with the verses and I like the beat, but Jesus Christ… Krizz Kaliko needs to give those hooks up. Just rap man. You don’t sound good on these songs. I can’t say this song is garbage or even bad, but I really didn’t enjoy it that much. It’s alright. 3/5
Track 24: Promiseland Feat. Nikkiya Brooks (Prod. Wyshmaster)
Okay, the song just started. The beat sounds kind of electronic. This better not be an EDM track. Damn. This beat is actually pretty dope. I was worried at first, but as soon as that bass came in I knew everything was alright. Tech’s doin’ his thing on the first verse. It’s not bad. It’s nothing special. Oh God. What the fuck is this shit? This hook from Nikkiya is pretty terrible. Hahahahaha. Nah. That hook is not good. Wow. Alright, let’s see what Tech does with these next two verses. He’s gonna have to really impress me to save this shit. The whole electronic influence of this song is corny as fuck to be honest. The second verse was cool, but nothing special. The hook is bad. What the fuck is this shit? The hook is so fucking bad. I can’t believe this shit. The way she’s singing is just… Not… Good. At all. Why is she like… I don’t even know how to explain why this is bad. It’s her delivery. It’s too corny. I can’t take this shit. I liked the last verse, but it definitely can’t save this. That fake Russian accent that he threw on at the beginning of the last verse was pretty weird too. Not sure what that was about. This hook is so fucking bad tho. Nah. I can’t take this. I’m done. The sad thing is that this would actually be a pretty good track without the hook too. I really liked the last verse, but nah. It’s alright. 3/5
That was alright I guess. First of all, this motherfucker is way too goddamn long. I will never understand why Tech decides to put so many tracks on each album. All he has to do is throw like 12 to 16 tracks on that bitch and call it a day. He needs to learn the phrase “quality over quantity.” This album had an incredible start. There were a lot of weird pointless and stupid skits, but other than that it was great. As always, one of the biggest flaws with this Tech N9ne album is Krizz motherfuckin’ Kaliko. He really isn’t that good of a singer. I don’t know why Tech shoehorns him onto every track. Tech is an incredible rapper. His flow is undeniable. The topics he chooses to write about aren’t always that… interesting. This is one of his most popular albums. I guess it kinda makes sense. It has some really great songs. It has a few “shit ass” songs on their too. For real, shit goes downhill fast. It’s definitely not a horrible album tho. There’s no reason for any Tech N9ne fan not to listen to this. It starts off great, but it gets pretty bad toward the end. At least listen to the first half of this album. It’s great. However, as a whole, this project is pretty average.
