This EP was released for free on October 28th this year. I guess this is supposed to be the follow up to that wack ass Daniel Son; Necklace Don mixtape he dropped earlier in the year. I really didn’t like that mixtape, but I figured I’d go ahead and check this project out since it’s only 7 tracks long. It also has some promising features that I’m actually looking forward to. Hopefully this’ll be better than the aforementioned mixtape. I’m not expecting this to be good at all, but I doubt it’ll be really wack. Probably just mediocre.

Track 1: Countin’ (Prod. Mondo & Buddah Bless)

This beat is kinda cool. I’m not feelin’ 2 Chainz’s flow. It’s fine I guess. It’s just not that interesting. I actually kinda fuck with this hook. It’s dumb as fuck, but it’s catchy. I feel like I would think this song was fucking incredible if I was drunk. Hmm… It just ended. Both of the verses were fine I guess. I mean, this isn’t bad as a Trap song. It doesn’t really stand out that much to me tho. This isn’t the kinda shit I’d listen to personally. I don’t think it’s that bad tho. It’s just not for me. 3/5

Track 2: Diamonds Talkin’ Back (Prod. Supah Mario)

This beat is dope. Hahaha. I fuck with this hook. It’s stupid as fuck, but I like it. Wow. I actually… This is dope to me. I really enjoyed the first verse. His flow was cool, and this hook is catchy. It just works really well with this beat. This is a good Trap song. I don’t listen to that much Trap music ’cause it gets really boring to me; a lot of that shit sounds super generic and uninspired to me. This is actually entertaining tho. It’s obviously not that interesting lyrically. It’s stupid as hell. That’s kinda why I like it tho. It’s cool to listen to some dumb shit every once in a while, as long as it’s done well. I fuck with this song. This is dope to me. 4/5

Track 3: Good Drank Feat. Gucci Mane & Quavo (Prod. Mike Dean)

Alright, this is the track I had in mind when I said this project had some promising features. Mike Dean is also a dope producer. It’s starting now. This beat is… It’s decent I guess. There are some really fucking dumb lines in this song. I mean, there were dumb lines in the first two tracks as well, but I wasn’t really paying that much attention. When you really listen to what he’s saying tho… This shit is ridiculous. “I told ’em shawty can leave, so I’ma keep me a rake.” That line kinda went over my head at first. He was trying to make the word “leave” sound like “leaf” tho. That’s so fucking bad. Lmao. I don’t really mind tho. It’s a 2 Chainz song. That’s the kinda shit I expect to hear from 2 Chainz. Quavo’s singing the hook. Meh. The hook’s fine I guess. I don’t know. This track isn’t as good as I was expecting it to be. The beat’s kinda underwhelming. There’s a bizarre lack of energy in this song. Gucci’s verse was dope. His flow was nice. Eh… I guess this song is decent. It just really didn’t do much for me. It’s an underwhelming track. The beat wasn’t bad. It’s just not that good. Same goes for the hook. The only thing I really enjoyed about this track was Gucci’s verse. It’s an okay song I guess… 3/5

Track 4: Lil Baby Feat. Ty$ (Prod. Foreign Teck & FKi)

This beat is dope. Ty$ sang his fuckin’ ass off on that hook. I really fuck with the hook. 2 Chainz verse was cool I guess. I mean… “Shawty got an ass so fat she got a scarf over it.” Yeah… It’s a 2 Chainz song. Again, that’s the kinda shit you can expect from him. This is nice sonically tho. Well… Shit… I… Now that I’m actually thinking about it, I really don’t know if I’d ever come back to this. The hook isn’t actually as good as I said it was… It’s cool tho. I really don’t think this is a bad song. If this was on the radio and I didn’t have an aux chord I’d listen to it. I’d never go out of my way to play this personally tho. I don’t need it in my iTunes library. It’s tolerable. I’m sure this would be appealing to a mainstream audience. It probably should’ve been a single. It’s not that good to me, but it’s not bad either. 3/5

Track 5: Day Party (Prod. K Swisha)

This beat is actually really dope. I probably wouldn’t have given it to 2 Chainz tho. I don’t know if I would give this to any Trap artists. Actually, this kinda sounds like something that would’ve been on that Bobby Tarantino mixtape by Logic. It’s really dope. The hook’s fine. The first verse wasn’t bad I guess. Oh shit. It just ended. There’s only one verse. Huh. I really don’t know about this one. I really liked the beat… I wish I liked this more than I actually do. This is another track that I really don’t think is bad. I just doubt that I’d ever come back to it. It’s an okay song I guess. 3/5

Track 6: Doors Open Feat. Future (Prod. DJ Paul & TWhy Xclusive)

Oh shit? …OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIT!!!!! Hahahahahaha. YO!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! THIS IS THE HARDEST BEAT I’VE HEARD ALL YEAR. LMAO. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. Hahaha. I really wish y’all could’ve seen my reaction when that beat dropped. Lmao. This beat is ridiculous. DJ Paul put his ASS into this one. This is amazing. Wooow. HAHAHA. Yoooo this is insane. This beat is fucking awesome. Good lord. This is absolute insanity. Hahahaha. “I’m tryna’ fuck her; fuck her like I used to / I don’t believe in karma, but I believe in Kama Sutra / Put one leg on the other leg / Then I skate away like Winnipeg.” I really wasn’t expecting to hear anything this dope on a 2 Chainz project. This needs to be a single. 2 Chainz doesn’t have a brain if he doesn’t make this a single. He at least needs to make a music video for it. I didn’t even mind Future on the hook. I actually really like this song. Wow. This shit really caught me off guard. Hahaha. I’m so happy right now. This song is dope af. It’s so fucking dumb. It’s so over the top. This is some Waka Flocka shit. He NEEDS to be on the remix. That would be a fucking dream come true. 5/5

Track 7: Here We Go Again (Prod. Mike WiLL Made It)

Damn… Wow. I might actually end up giving this project a good score. This beat is dope af. I usually don’t even like Mike WiLL Made It, but he really did a great job with this one. The hook isn’t bad. Damn. Yeah… Okay… I fuck with this song. It’s got a really simple structure. It’s just two dumb ass verses and a hook. The fucking production is fantastic tho. That really pushed this shit to the next level for me. I also kinda liked the dumb lines too. “Woke up this morning; dick looked like a flag pole.” Wow. I really can’t believe how much I like this shit… I REALLY love this song tho. I’m fucking shocked right now… This is dope af to me. 5/5

Final Thoughts:

Wow… I… I can’t believe it… This EP… It’s… It’s dope. I liked it. I liked a 2 Chainz project. This is easily the best 2 Chainz project I’ve ever reviewed. You know why? It actually sounded like he was trying. Well, maybe that’s not a good way to put it… He obviously never really puts too much effort into his lyricism. It seemed like he was genuinely trying to write catchy songs tho. His hooks are actually entertaining on this project. I liked some of his flows too. The production kinda carried this project. I think as long as 2 Chainz picks the right beats he’ll be good. I can’t remember the last time I actually liked a Trap album. It was probably a Jeezy album. Or maybe a Rick Ross album. I don’t know. This was actually good tho. I’m really shocked. That was a really pleasant surprise. I fuck with this EP. It’s dope.
