This album was released on March 24th this year. I’m expecting this shit to be trash honestly. His original Ransom mixtape was one of the first projects I ever reviewed, and it was fucking terrible. I’m hoping that this’ll be more polished since it’s an actual album instead of a mixtape. The features look pretty goddamn terrible tho. I’m going into this project knowing that I’m not gonna like it, but I’m sure there’ll be at least one track that I fuck with. That’ll make it worth it. I guess… Anyway, every track is obviously produced by Mike WiLL Made It.
Track 1: On The Come Up (Performed by Big Sean) [Co-Prod. Marz & Resource]
Oh shit… This beat is actually dope af. The hook’s alright. Wow. You know what? I’m actually enjoying this. Okay, maybe this won’t be so bad after all. The first verse isn’t that good, but it’s not bad either. This beat is really fuckin’ hard. The second verse was fine. The song just ended. Wow. Big Sean has really improved. He’s still not really that great, but he’s not that bad anymore either. The verses here were tolerable. I enjoyed this. It’s dope. 4/5
Track 2: W Y O (What You On) [Performed by Young Thug] {Co-Prod. Resource}
This beat is alright. The hook’s decent. Actually… This beat kinda sucks. It’s got this really simplistic, repetitive piano loop. It’s like if DJ Mustard was super fucking tired, and he wanted to make a Trap beat. It’s a really skeletal instrumental. This is boring. The first verse was… Well… It was a Young Thug verse. That’s all that needs to be said. His flow is really underwhelming. Everything about this track is just really lackluster. I’m not feelin’ it. This is wack to me. 2/5
Track 3: Hasselhoff (Performed by Lil Yachty)
Oh boy… Smh… Alright, let’s do this shit. You know, I really like Lil Yachty as a personality, but let’s not pretend his music listenable just because he seems like a really nice guy. He literally has no idea how to flow over this beat. It sounds so bad. It’s like he starts every line like 2 or 3 seconds early, so the beat has to catch up to him. His flow is a mess. The beat is pretty bad. Yachty seriously just sounds like a 5 year old trying to rap. Does he not listen to his shit before he releases it? And what the fuck was Mike WiLL doing? Why did he decide to put this trash on his album? Any normal person that listens to this should know that it’s gonna damage whatever album it’s on. This shit is fucking trash. It’s wack af. 1/5
Track 4: Gucci On My (Performed by 21 Savage) Feat. YG & Migos [Co-Prod. Resource]
Have I talked about 21 Savage on this website before? I don’t think I have… I’m not too familiar with his music. From what I’ve heard, he’s got kind of a cool style, but he just doesn’t really use it very well. I like his cold, monotone delivery, but he really overdoes it most of the time. There are only a couple of songs that I can really fuck with that he’s on. This song is starting now. This beat is alright. The hook from 21 Savage is fine. Lmao. His verse was stupid as hell. I kinda liked it tho. I wasn’t feelin’ YG’s verse. Quavo’s verse was cool. Takeoff killed it. Offset did too. Alright, Takeoff & Offset really saved this song for me. I actually really liked their verses. Hmm… Man… Okay, you know what? I’m gonna go easy on Mike WiLL for this track. The hook is boring as hell, the beat is really underwhelming, and YG’s verse sucked. I kinda liked 21 Savage’s dumb verse tho, and the Migos were great. It’s pretty bad, but… It’s not TOO bad. It’s alright. 3/5
Track 5: Oh Hi Hater (Hiatus) [Performed by Fortune]
…Who??? Hmm… The name sounds kinda familiar… I think I’ve seen placements from Fortune as a producer. I’m not really familiar with him as a rapper tho. It’s starting now. Hmm… I feel like this beat could’ve been pretty dope, but its… It’s not… The hook’s kinda weird. It’s alright I guess… This first verse is fuckin’ terrible. Man… This is uh… This is really fuckin’ bad. The more I hear this hook the less I like it. The second verse was awful. Yeah… Nah… This song is fuckin’ horrible. I never wanna hear this Fortune dude rap again. This is wack af. 1/5
Track 6: Perfect Pint (Performed by Rae Sremmurd) Feat. Kendrick Lamar & Gucci Mane [Co-Prod. DJ Fu]
This beat sounds really different from the other ones on this album. I don’t like it tho. Slim Jxmmi’s verse was wack. Mmm… Nah… I’m not really feelin’ this hook from Swae Lee… It’s uh… It’s really fuckin’ bad. Gucci’s verse was cool. Kung Fu Kenny did his thing. This isn’t good. This… This isn’t good. Lmao. This is really wack. The hook from Swae Lee is terrible. Rae Sremmurd was just awful on this track. The beat is really boring. Why does it seem like Mike WiLL saves his worst beats for his own projects? They all sound like they were made in five minutes. It’s always just a really simplistic drum pattern, with a boring & repetitive loop over it. I’m not feelin’ this one. This is wack to me. 2/5
Track 7: Razzle Dazzle (Performed by Future) [Co-Prod. Marz & S1]
I actually like this beat. It sounded kinda shitty at first, but once the percussion comes in it sounds pretty good. Wow. I’m enjoying this song. I liked the hook. This is weird. Why do I like this? This first verse isn’t even bad to me. Man… Of all the wack artists featured on this album, I really was not expecting to enjoy Future the most so far. I can’t stand Future. This is actually dope to me tho. His terrible voice doesn’t sound too bad over this beat. The song just ended. This is honestly my favorite song on the whole album so far. It’s not amazing. It’s one of those songs that’s not that good, but it’s… It’s cool, you know? Future just sounded super okay. He wasn’t bad. The beat was dope too. I fuck with this song. This is dope to me. 4/5
Track 8: Bars Of Soap (Performed by Swae Lee)
Oh shit. This beat is actually dope. I wasn’t feelin’ it until the bass came in. Wait… What the fuck is that? I can’t really tell exactly what just happened to this beat. Are those synths? It sounds like some really light synths came in. They aren’t loud enough for me to be able to determine whether they’re synths or some other instrument. They sound awful tho. They don’t work with the rest of the beat at all. It’s really discordant. Swae Lee’s rapping. It’s not very good. It’s not too bad tho. It’s just not good. His flow is really simplistic. The more I listen to this beat the less I like it. That can honestly be said about almost every beat on this album tho if I’m bein’ real. There’s no hook on this track. It’s just Swae rapping a long ass, boring ass, basic ass verse. I’m not feelin’ this shit. This is wack to me. 2/5
Track 9: Burnin’ (Performed by Andrea) [Co-Prod. Micah Weston]
I’m not really feelin’ this beat… Oh shit. This chick’s flow is really fuckin’ dope. The first verse wasn’t anything special lyrically. It sounded good tho. I wish this beat was better. I’m not feelin’ the hook. She kinda sounds like Nicki Minaj. If Nicki Minaj had a better flow this is probably what it would sound like. I really liked her flow on this track, but as a song it’s not something I’d ever have the desire to return to. Maybe if it had a better hook or if the production was better… It’s decent tho. I’d like to hear more features from this lady. I could see her being pretty big. 3/5
Track 10: Y’all Ain’t Ready (Performed by 2 Chainz) [Co-Prod. Marz]
This beat is kinda cool. It’s really dark. The problem with this shit is I’d only put a really dope rapper on this. 2 Chainz really isn’t interesting enough to be able to make a dope song with this instrumental. The first verse was alright. His flow was kinda cool I guess. I can’t tell if this beat is shitty or dope. I feel like I would say it was dope if someone like Royce Da 5’9″ was spittin’ over it. This is the kinda beat that would only compliment a really dope lyricist well. Someone like 2 Chainz who isn’t listened to for his lyricism doesn’t really work over production like this. It’s too undercooked for 2 Chainz. I feel like all of the beats on this album are unfinished. They’re all really skeletal and simplistic. They’re boring. This song isn’t good. I’m not feelin’ it at all. It’s wack to me. 2/5
Track 11: Aries (Yugo) [Performed by Pharrell Williams] Feat. Station Wagon P
Okay this is just a solo Pharrell song. Station Wagon P—terrible name btw—is apparently just an alter ego of his. This beat is surprisingly dope. This is the best beat on the whole album so far. I like this hook. It’s really fuckin’ dope. Wow. Okay, yeah… This is definitely the best song so far. The first verse was cool. Okay, I guess Station Wagon P is the name he goes by when he’s rapping. I know he used to call himself Skateboard P. I guess he’s too old for that shit now. This is the first time I’ve ever heard him use the name Station Wagon P tho. He was just Pharrell when he was rapping on Move That Dope. I liked this verse tho. Some of the lyrics were a little corny, but his delivery was great. I actually really like this track. This is dope af to me. 5/5
Track 12: Emotions Unlocked (Performed by Eearz) [Co-Prod. 30Roc & Ez Elpee]
This album isn’t good at all, but so far it’s a step up from the original Ransom tape from what I can remember. This Eearz guy—again, terrible name—was on that project, but I don’t remember what he sounds like. I just remember thinking his name was terrible. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna hate this song. I can just tell from the title. Yuck… Alright, let’s get this bullshit over with. It’s starting now. Oh fucking shit. What the fuck? Jesus. He’s singing this hook and it sounds fucking horrible. Good God. Lmao. The fuck is this motherfucker doing? Bruh… This is so fucking bad. The beat’s actually pretty dope tho. His flow on this first verse is dope too. Wow. Lmao. That’s sad. This would’ve been one of the better songs on the album if the hook wasn’t so terrible. The second verse was dope. He’s actually not bad. This hook is fucking atrocious tho. Mike WiLL should’ve gotten Swae Lee to do it instead. It’s REALLY bad. Everything else about this song is cool tho. It’s a shame that had to be ruined. Whatever. It’s a decent song. It’s just… Well… You know… The hook. 3/5
Track 13: Big God (Performed by Trouble) Feat. Problem [Co-Prod. Ducko McFli]
I’m actually expecting to enjoy this track. I like Trouble & Problem. This beat is kinda cool. I like the hook. Trouble killed that first verse. Well… That may be an overstatement. His verse was dope tho. Problem killed his verse. It just ended. Yup. I was right about this track. They lived up to my expectations. This is easily one of the best songs on the album. This album is actually far better than I was expecting it to be. That’s not really saying much ’cause I thought it was gonna be terrible, but still. I really wasn’t expecting to like more than three tracks. This one is dope af to me. 5/5
Track 14: Faith (Performed by Lil Wayne) Feat. HoodyBaby [Co-Prod. GT]
Oh God… I really don’t wanna hear from this HoodyBaby guy… I’ve never heard him rap before. All I know is that he’s signed to Young Money, so I’m assuming he’s trash. Also, his name is HoodyBaby. This track is starting now. This beat is alright I guess. I’m not feelin’ the autotuned hook from Wayne. Oh no… He’s singing the whole first verse with autotune. Eugh. Why doesn’t he just rap? Smh… This verse is wack to me. His voice actually sounds a lot higher on this track than it usually does to me. I wonder if it’s an imposter? Nah that would be dumb. What would even be the point of that? Wayne would have to be in on it for it to be legal. That’d be funny tho. This is fucking terrible. HoodyBaby’s verse was wack. Wayne sounds really fucking bad. Tha Carter V better not sound even remotely close to this. This is one of the wackest songs on the whole album. I’m not feelin’ it. 2/5
Track 15: Come Down (Performed by Chief Keef) Feat. Rae Sremmurd [Co-Prod. Pluss]
Why is Chief Keef still making music? Does anyone actually listen to him still? He’s so fucking bad, and it really just seems like he’s getting worse over time. This beat is trash. I’m not feelin’ the hook. Well at least Chief Keef knows how to flow over a beat properly. This is actually a little better than I thought it’d be. It’s still fucking God awful, but it’s definitely more listenable than that track from Lil Boat. I don’t like this verse from Swae Lee. Maybe it’d be easier to enjoy if the beat wasn’t so fucking bad. God, this is really hard to listen to. Slim Jxmmi had my favorite verse. It’s not fuckin’ good tho. It’s just more tolerable than the others. This song is wack af. The beat is fucking awful, and Chief Keef’s vocals… Fuck… 1/5
Track 16: Outro
This is likely the most pointless track I’ve ever heard while writing a review.
Track 17: Nothing Is Promised (Performed by Rihanna) [Co-Prod. Pluss]
I don’t think I’m gonna like this. I really don’t like Rihanna. She was surprisingly good on Kendrick’s album tho, so maybe she’ll surprise me. It’s starting now. This beat isn’t bad. Huh. She’s rapping. I mean, she kinda has a melodic delivery. It’s closer to rapping than what she did on LOYALTY. tho. I like her flow on this second verse. The hook is cool too. This is actually kinda cool. I hope she continues making music more like this. This isn’t really something I’d listen to personally, but I like it more than what she usually does. This is decent. 3/5
Final Thoughts:
This album isn’t good. It’s mediocre. That’s more than I was expecting tho. This is definitely better than the first Ransom project. Not by much tho. This shouldn’t have been an album. He shouldn’t be charging money for a project like this. It seems like he tries so much harder when he’s producing on other people’s albums. The majority of these beats were super underwhelming. This entire album is just lackluster. It sounds like Mike WiLL and all the features were just sitting in a room one day, and he was like “I wanna release an album TONIGHT. Let’s hurry up and get this shit done.” The beats are so boring, and almost every feature was wack. Even Kung Fu Kenny’s verse wasn’t that exciting. There are just a handful of tracks that were far less terrible than others. These beats are really fucking bad tho. The oddly terrible production might actually be the worst thing about this album. It doesn’t make sense. Was he TRYING to make a bad album? These are some of the worst beats I’ve heard from him. They’re too simplistic. I can find much better beats than these from YouTube producers. I guess there’s a reason Mike WiLL never puts out instrumental albums. They’d be fucking awful. There’s not a single track here that I would listen to just as an instrumental. I really don’t know what the deal is. Whatever. It’s still better than I was expecting, so I guess… That’s a good thing? Yeah. It’s a mediocre album. It’s better than the last one tho…
Favorite Song: Aries (Yugo)

Hip Hop compilations certainly have devolved since the last 20+ years. Its a damned shame…
I loathe Mike WiLL Made It. Especially after co-signing the Culture Vulture known as Miley Cyrus. Dude is a sellout and will never be respected by any true heads.
Musically I’d enjoy this project if I were some rich white boy doing Molly while trying to get tickets to the Fyre festival.
On that note…..this shit is wack. I give it a 3/10.
(Sidenote): Concerning Yachty. He seems like a nice kid. It’s just that he’s really wack and really isn’t trying to know the Culture he’s apart of.
(Sidenote 2): You gonna check out that MC Eiht & DJ Premier collab project when it drops?
Oh shit I didn’t even know that was a thing; that’s certainly a good incentive to get the MC Eiht Marathon outta the way…
Yeah! it’s called “Which Way Iz West” dropping next month on the 9th, it’s got Tha Outlawz, WC, Lady Of Rage, B-Real, Kurupt, and Young Maylay (the guy who voiced CJ in GTA San Andreas) on the features.
Damn that sounds crazy
Yup. And Big Mike from the Geto Boys on it, Compton’s Most Wanted and Bumpy Knuckles also got features as well.
Eiht dropped two videos for the album.
(this video features the last appearance of WC’s brother DJ Crazy Toones who passed away earlier this year.)
