So for those of you who don’t know, Pusha T & Drake have been beefing with each other ever since Pusha T dropped Exodus 23:1 back in 2013.

It’s a really dope track. I love the dark production, and the guest vocals from The-Dream are great. Lil Wayne actually responded with a really shitty diss track called Goulish.

Smh… Drake didn’t end up responding until 2016’s Two Birds, One Stone. It’s a decent song I guess. Just kinda boring. It’s one long verse over a decent beat. His flow is super uninteresting. It’s bland. The beef didn’t really go anywhere until Pusha revived it with Infrared, which appears on his new album, DAYTONA.

To my surprise, Drake actually dropped a response on the same day, just like Horseshoe G.A.N.G. did when battling Funk Volume. It’s called “Duppy Freestlye.” I’m not sure what the hell “Duppy” means. Is it another regional slang term like “blem?” I don’t know. I’m gonna check it out now though. It’s produced by Boi-1da & Jahaan Sweet.

Okay, this beat is fire. I love the horns; it sounds really dramatic. Damn. Okay, I just listened to the entire song. There was a lot in there. This nigga actually knows how to make a good diss. It took him long enough, but yeah. That shit was dope.

It was nice to hear Drake actually rapping with some energy. He wasn’t using the same lazy flow that’s on his new I’m Upset track. If I had to choose one over the other I’d probably go with Infrared, but that’s coming from a huge Pusha T fan. I’ve been “hating” on Drake since 2012. The Duppy Freestyle is good though. The ball is in Pusha’s court.

Hopefully he responds with an actual song. I’m starting to feel like that’d be too good to be true, but I’m gonna remain hopeful. If he doesn’t respond, that’s kind of an L on his part. I’d say they’re tied though. Exodus 23:1 is still the best song to come out of this beef.

It’s called “The Story of Adidon.” I don’t know who the fuck Adidon is, but I guess I’m about to find out.

I should’ve known he was gonna come through like this. It would’ve been even better if it was over original production, but I’ll take what I can get.
