I’m actually a lot more familiar with Trippie Redd than most of the other freshmen. His feature on Fuck Love by XXXTENTACION was good, and he did his thing on Capeesh by Maxo Kream too.
This was pretty solid. His “competition” didn’t really provide much of a challenge, but I’ll give him credit for having one of the better freestyles. He held on to the first rhyme scheme for a pretty long time, but he thankfully switched it up after a while. It seems like he actually tried, unlike people like Smokepurrp & BlocBoy JB. He mentioned feeling like the whole world is against him, which I’ve definitely struggled with before. I guess a lot of people have delusions that people don’t want them to win. DJ Khaled’s really onto something. Anyway, I’m not really blown away by this one, but it definitely wasn’t bad. I think he did an okay job.
