This album was released on April 6th this year. I’ve been meaning to check this album out ever since it came out. I don’t know what took me so long. I think I’ve just been putting it off because it’s over an hour long. I usually don’t like albums that are longer than an hour. I’m hoping this project will be even better than their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey. I liked that project, but I feel like they can do better. Hopefully they came through with a great album this time. Every song is produced by Erick the Architect, except where noted.

1. HELL-O produced by Tyler Dopps

The beat on this track is pretty average. They all sound good over it. The female opera vocals that come in during the verses sound cool. I like the way they’re all goin’ in one after another on this track. There aren’t three distinct verses. Meechy Darko still stands out the most due to his gruff voice, but Juice & Erick did their thing too. This is a decent way to open the album. It sounds like a typical Flatbush Zombies track. It’s a hard, Trap influenced song. I’m glad they went for a more energetic sound instead of trying to make a smooth song to smoke to. This is a dope track. I fuck with it.

2. Chunky featuring Dia

The beat from Erick on this song is really dope. I was a little skeptical of this track at the beginning. I’m not crazy about the introductory lines from Meechy. The hook where he’s harmonizing with Dia actually sounds really great though. The first verse from Erick isn’t bad. Juice really stood out though. He had the best verse. Meech had a short bridge between the verses from Erick & Juice. This is another pretty good song. It started off a little shaky with the intro from Meechy, but the rest of the song isn’t bad at all. I fuck with this track. It’s dope.

3. Vacation featuring Joey Bada$$ co-produced by Tyler Dopps

The production on this song is pretty good. The first verse from Erick the Architect was nothing special, but it certainly wasn’t bad. I actually really like the sung hook from Zombie Juice. He should probably take care of their hooks more often because he sounds really good here. The featured verse from Joey Bada$$ wasn’t super impressive, but it was sufficient. Meechy Darko had the best verse to me. I really liked the ad-libs during his part. This is definitely the catchiest song on the album so far. It’s dope. None of the verses really blew me away, but it’s still a good song. I fuck with it.

4. M. Bison

I like the darker sound the beat on this song has. The first verse from Zombie Juice was fine. The hook from Erick is nothing special, but it works. He did his thing on the second verse. Their flows on the final verse were pretty dope. Meechy Darko is nowhere to be found. This is a solid track. I don’t really like it as much as the previous few songs, but I think it’s good. It just doesn’t stand out as one of the best songs on the album. It’s dope though.

5. Headstone

This was the lead single from this album. It’s another solid song. I’m still not super impressed, but I enjoyed the track. All the verses reference classic Hip Hop albums and songs. I pretty much feel the same way about this track as I did the previous one. It’s a cool song, but nothing about it really stands out to make it amazing. It’s just good to me. All the verses were fine. The hook is nothing special. It’s a solid track, but it’s not one of my favorites. I fuck with it though. It’s dope.

6. Big Shrimp produced by Kirk Knight

The beat on this track is actually really fuckin’ great. Kirk Knight has probably my favorite beat on the whole album so far. The first verse from Meechy is cool. The autotuned hook from Juice is pretty good. Erick did his thing on the second verse. Zombie Juice had my favorite verse just because his flow was different from Meech & Erick’s, even though he only spit like 8 bars. This is a pretty good song. Again, I wouldn’t use the word “great” to describe it, but I definitely enjoyed it to a certain extent. This is dope.

7. Leather Symphony featuring A$AP Twelvy

I like the beat on this song. The first verse from Juice was pretty good. I like the hook from him too. Twelvy did his thing on the second verse. I like the final verse where they’re trading bars together too. Erick & Meechy don’t have any vocal contributions to this song. It’s dope though. So far I feel like Juice is standing out more on this album than he did on the previous project. It doesn’t really feel like Meech is the star of the show anymore. Anyway, this is a good song. I fuck with this track. It’s dope.

8. Reel Girls featuring Bun B

I like the Trap influenced production on this track a lot. The hook from Meechy is decent. The first verse from Juice is solid. He’s just rapping about girls. I guess that’s obvious considering the title of the song. I don’t really care for the content, but it’s not that bad. Erick’s flow on the second verse was pretty good. Bun B did his thing on the final verse. This is a solid track, but it’s far from my favorite. I fuck with it though. It’s dope.

9. Facts featuring Jadakiss

The beat on this song isn’t that different from that of the previous track. The hook from Meechy is nothing special, but he did his thing on the first verse. That line at the end where he said you only kill shit when you pay for abortions was dark. Jadakiss did his thing on the second verse. He kinda went in on mumble rappers. The final verse from Meechy was nice. Erick & Juice are nowhere to be found on this track. I feel the same way about this song that I felt about the previous one. It’s a solid track, but not one of my favorites.

10. Ask Courtney produced by Hector Delgado

The beat on this track is pretty good. It thankfully sounds different from the previous one. Meechy & Erick killed that first verse.

The hook from Erick is pretty good. I like they way him and Meechy trade bars on this song. Juice just provides a bridge towards the end of the song. I kinda wish the production was a little more hard hitting, but I still fuck with this song. It’s dope.

11. Crown featuring Portugal. The Man

The chorus on this song from John Gourley is pretty nice. I like the production on this track a lot too. The first verse from Erick was decent. I like the way the beat kinda switches up during the bridge from Juice. Meechy’s verse was dope. This is a solid track. I’m not super impressed by anything that they did here, but I enjoyed it to some extent. It’s not one of my favorites, but I fuck with it. This is dope.

12. Proxies

The beat on this track is alright. The first verse from Erick wasn’t bad. The hook’s nothing special. The second verse was fine I guess. This is a solo track from Erick the Architect. It’s the first song that I don’t really see myself coming back to. I didn’t really enjoy it. It’s not a bad song. Nothing about it stands out as being wack. It’s just not that good to me. It’s average. I’m never gonna listen to it again.

13. U&I featuring Dia

The beat on this song is pretty solid. I like Juice’s singing on the intro a lot. The hook from Erick is nothing special. The first few verses from Erick & Juice are cool. Meechy really stole the show though. His verse was long as hell. He was rapping about his family & how much he loves his group. This is a pretty good song. I don’t really have any problems with it. This is dope.

14. The Goddess featuring Dave B.

This song definitely has one of the best beats on the album. The first verse from Meechy Darko was cool. He’s rapping about the types of girls he likes. The vocals from Dave B. on the hook are nice. The second verse from Erick isn’t bad. Juice isn’t on this track. This is a pretty good song though. The structure is really simplistic. There’s not really anything I dislike about it. It’s not a super impressive song, but I fuck with it. This is dope.

15. Trapped featuring Dia co-produced by Anthony Flammia

I like the beat on this song a lot. The first verse from Erick is alright. His singing on the hook is decent. The background vocals from Dia sound pretty good. The bridge from Juice was okay I guess. The final verse from Meechy Darko is pretty much a suicide note. It’s a cool verse. I don’t really care for this song though. I don’t think it’s bad, but I really only enjoyed Meech’s verse. The song just doesn’t stand out that much to me. I feel like it lasted a little too long. I’m not gonna listen to this again. It’s decent though.

16. Best American

The beat on this song is really dope. I’ve listened to about half of this song already, and I have nothing to say about it. The only aspect of it that really stands out is the production. It was cool of them to get political on this song.

Meech’s flow on the final verse was really dope. I won’t be coming back to this song though. It has a really simplistic structure. It just didn’t really entertain me that much. It’s not a bad song, but I don’t really think it’s that good either. It’s just decent to me.

17. Misunderstood featuring Nyck Caution co-produced by Hector Delgado

The production on this track is nice. The first 8 bars from Erick & Juice were cool. Nyck did his thing on the hook. Meech is nowhere to be found on this song. The second pair of verses from Erick & Juice is pretty good. This is a really short song. All the verses put together only make up 16 bars. This is another track that I’m never gonna listen to again. There’s not really much to discuss with this song just because it’s so short. It didn’t really stand out to me in any way. The production’s kinda cool, but other than that this is another average song. I won’t be returning to it.

18. YouAreMySunshine

This track has a really minimal, soft beat. It’s performed solely by Meechy Darko. It’s a tribute to A$AP Yams. The song is just one verse. It’s pretty underwhelming to me. I honestly don’t really care about A$AP Yams personally, so this track does nothing for me. It’s not necessarily bad, but I’d be lying if I said I really enjoyed this. It’s a decent track I guess. It’s just not that good to me.

19. The Glory featuring Denzel Curry

This track has a much more lighthearted beat than a lot of the other tracks. The opening verse from Erick was pretty good. The hook is nothing special, but it works. Meechy did his thing on the second verse. Denzel Curry feels out of place on this outro, but he kinda stole the show. He had a better flow than every other rapper on this song in my opinion. The final verse from Juice was pretty good. This is a solid track. I don’t really have any problems with it. It’s kind of a lackluster outro, but I think it’s a good song. This is dope.

This is a good album. I don’t really think it’s as good as their first album, but it’s still pretty enjoyable. There weren’t any songs that really impressed me that much, but most of the material here is pretty good. I don’t think any of the songs are bad. Some of them just aren’t that good. This project is way too long though. They definitely could’ve cut out a few of the less interesting songs. This is far from a “must-listen” album. Fans will definitely enjoy this project, but if you’ve never been impressed by FBZ in the past this project won’t do anything to change your opinion of them. It’s really just more of the same from them. I fuck with this project though. It’s kinda dope.
