This song was released on May 31st this year. Kenny Mason is an artist I’ve been familiar with for about two years now. He has two albums that are both good. The last one came out in 2021, and it’s his best work in my opinion. He released a mixtape last year called RUFFS, which was just okay to me, but it has a few songs that I really love. Double Up & Spin n’ Flip go hard as fuck. He also dropped a couple EPs in the past year called PUP PACK & 3. PUP PACK was pretty mediocre to me, but 3 was solid. I haven’t really enjoyed a project from him overall since 2021, so I went into this latest single with middling expectations. It thankfully ended up being really good though.

I really love the bouncy, melodic, sample-based production from Coupe on this song. It fits Kenny Mason’s style perfectly. Kenny’s melodic delivery and bouncy flow sound amazing. The first verse is fire.

The hook isn’t amazing or anything, but it’s pretty good. The main appeal of this song is just Kenny’s flow and delivery on the verses, as well as the production. The lyrics are pretty cool too actually. There’s really nothing about this song that I don’t like. I think it’s the best song Kenny’s put out in a while. I really fuck with this shit.
