Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the past few days, you’ve definitely been hearing about all the devastation in North Carolina. Sadly, this seems to be a Katrina-level disaster. There are entire cities that are just gone now. A lot of people are either deceased or missing. With everything that’s happened, all I can think about is one of my favorite lines from Sunmundi’s latest opus with klwn kat…
Everything you love can be crushed so abrupt
That’s pretty much what North Carolinians are going through, and they need help. I’m blessed to say that my area thankfully came out relatively unscathed. I’m from Durham, and I go to school in Greensboro. However, places like Asheville are really going through it. From what I understand, most of the attention is going to the Western parts of the state, and the South is being neglected. Hopefully soon things will balance out. Anyway, please share the resources I’ve linked below and consider donating if you can. People are really hurting here, and everyone would appreciate help. Thank you.
How you can help…
Donate to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund
These donations will go to nonprofits that are working to give those affected by the storm what they need—food, water, cleaning supplies, and other emergency supplies. All of the donations made will go to disaster relief.
Durham Rescue Mission is also accepting donations of cleaning supplies, water, diapers, and more. You can drop off supplies at 1201 E. Main Street in Durham.
