Hey y’all. It’s been a long time since I’ve published anything on the blog, and I just wanted to give y’all an update about where I’ve been. As you all know, I’ve struggled with my mental health ever since I was a child. I’ve been known to fall off the grid at times due to my depressive episodes. That’s pretty much what happened at the beginning of this year. This is the longest I’ve ever gone without posting anything on this blog. I don’t wanna share too many details because lately I’ve been a little anxious about privacy and whatnot, hence why I’ve been absent for so long.

Believe it or not, I have not finished listening to many full albums this year. I’ve been checking out more singles just because I’ve been getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of new releases. I’ve been working closely with a trauma therapist to help me kinda ease back into my routine, and it has been very helpful. I’m still in the process of figuring out how I wanna approach my write-ups in the future, and I think I’m gonna be ditching grades and scores altogether to be honest. Something about it just doesn’t feel right to me. I don’t like how pretentious it comes off, and I don’t even make music myself, so I don’t feel qualified to be grading hard-working artists on how much I enjoy their personal expression. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to be as prolific as I have been in the past with the reviews, but I always feel the need to share music that I really love, so I will be making a return. I just need a lot of time for my recovery because it’s been an intense process.
