I recently stumbled upon this meme comparing Young Thug, Future, and Gucci Mane, and it resonated with me pretty hard. It inspired me to create this playlist of all my favorite Gucci Mane songs. A few years ago, I decided to follow through with the task of listening to every single mixtape and album that Gucci Mane ever released. There are a lot of them that I don’t even remember just because it was so much music. One thing I will say is that I find it a little crazy that I was only able to find about 60 songs out of all the stuff he’s put out for this playlist. You would think that he would at least reach 75 if not 100, but that’s not what happened. This shit is still fire though, and I still would consider Gucci Mane to be one of my favorite Trap artists. I have not peeped the latest album yet, but I’m looking forward to trying it out. For those of you who are curious about getting into Gucci’s discography, I highly suggest the Wilt Chamberlain mixtapes. Those are easily some of his best work. Of course you also have the Chicken Talk mixtape, which is arguably a classic. Writing on the Wall, I’m Up, Trap God, Trap House 3, The Return of East Atlanta Santa, Droptopwop, and East Atlanta Santa 3 are all worth checking out as well. Also, don’t sleep on his 3 for Free EP, which was fully produced by Shawty Redd. This is all his best shit.
