  • Angel Eyes by Kenny Mason | My Thoughts

As stated in my last update, I hadn’t been listening to many full albums since this year started. I checked out a few releases after being hospitalized including Playboi Carti’s Music, which I didn’t care for, as well as Doechii’s Alligator Bites Never Heal, which was pretty good. Neither of those projects have been in…

  • FHH Update 03-24-2025

Hey y’all. It’s been a long time since I’ve published anything on the blog, and I just wanted to give y’all an update about where I’ve been. As you all know, I’ve struggled with my mental health ever since I was a child. I’ve been known to fall off the grid at times due to…

  • Top 15 Albums of 2024

Alright, y’all. Here it is. Before I get into this list, I just wanna remind y’all that this is totally subjective, and these are by no means the only good albums that are worth listening to from this past year. This isn’t a list of every album I love from 2024. I narrowed it down…

  • Top 10 Extended Plays of 2024

This should go without saying, but please keep in mind that this is a subjective list of my personal favorite 10 extended plays of 2024, meaning not every EP that’s worth listening to from the past year will be listed here. There are plenty of EPs I love that didn’t make the cut, as well…

  • 95Sai – The Noise | Album Review

I recently covered an album called Moondance by an artist named Qundalini KIDO. I believe he’s now performing under the name HBK KIDO. He’s also the head of a Detroit-based label called [SYN]republic, which houses the artist I will be writing about today: 95Sai. I enjoyed Moondance despite being very critical of it; 95Sai apparently…

  • The Fortunate Ones – RESIN | Album Review

Patreon supporters received access to this review on December 2nd, 2024. The Fortunate Ones are a duo comprised of Anwar HighSign and Dr. Quandary. Anwar’s preceding album, Whatever the Case May Be with Giallo Point, was one of my favorite projects of 2023. It was also the first time I’d listened to a full length…

  • Thoughts on Fat Hippy Records Anniversary Compilation, Vol. 2

Patreon supporters received access to this write-up on November 23rd Last year I reviewed the first entry in Fat Hippy Records’ Anniversary Compilation series, and I thought it was pretty good. I was pretty curious to see how my homie Z. Younk, who runs Fat Hippy Records, would follow it up. Just to be clear,…

  • Thoughts on Qundalini KIDO’s Moondance Album

Moondance by Qundalini KIDO, released on February 2nd, features ten brief tracks predominantly exploring themes of anxiety and addiction. While the execution is solid, the project is sorely lacking in originality, resembling countless other underground artists. Nonetheless, standout tracks like “Choose Sides” and “Sweet Jesus” showcase KIDO’s good lyricism and beat selections.
