This marathon felt kinda similar to the Cannibal Ox Marathon. It was way less depressing tho. It was fucking awesome at the beginning, but once I passed 2005 it started going downhill FAST. I just really didn’t like that new sound that they had between 2008 & 2014. I think I’ve accepted the fact that Slug will never be spittin’ like he was on the first few albums. I think Atmosphere is headed in the right direction tho. Their albums had been getting worse and worse, but this new album that they just dropped recently was way better. I definitely think Atmosphere’s discography is worth checking out. At least check out Overcast! & God Loves Ugly. If you really don’t like When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold at all, I’d probably skip everything after that. You might wanna give Fishing Blues a chance tho. Nate Collis & Erick Anderson… Nah. I really don’t like the effect that they had on the group when they joined. I think they were only involved with The Family Sign & Southsiders, and those ended up being the only Atmosphere albums that I don’t feel comfortable calling “good.” I’m pretty sure they’re gone now tho, so it’s okay. So yeah. I’m an Atmosphere fan now. I’m actually looking forward to the music they put out in the future. I think they’re headed down the right path. They definitely have a couple of missteps in their discography, but overall they’re really dope. I fuck with Atmosphere.
