Danny Brown is one of my favorite rappers now. I’m really glad I decided to go back and check out his first three albums before I listened to Atrocity Exhibition because they’re all dope. I think everyone should at least give him a shot. I know his over the top delivery and vocal tone can take some getting used to for some people, but I think everyone should at least try to listen to his shit. I think The Hybrid is the perfect starting point; he hadn’t really developed the aforementioned delivery, so it should be more accessible to people who can’t get behind his voice. It’s crazy to me how much his music has improved tho. He was already a very talented MC when he made The Hybrid, but he’s just grown so much since that project came out. Everything from his song concepts to his flow to his lyricism seems to get better with each project. I feel like I never know what to expect from Danny Brown, especially after this new album, so I’m really looking forward to seeing anything he does in the future. I have absolutely no idea how he’s gonna follow it up, but I’m sure whatever he does will be dope. He’s one of the most unique artists I’ve ever listened to, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
