I think this is probably the most positive marathon I’ve ever done. El-P has one of the best discographies I’ve ever heard. He’s not putting out records every single year like Jay-Z, but the quality of each album is undeniable. As far as rappers who are also producers, I’d probably say he’s my favorite. His production isn’t just good for him. Almost all his beats are incredible no matter who’s spitting over them. I actually don’t know if there was a single bad song in this marathon. There might have been some mediocre ones that I didn’t really care for, but now that I think about it, I legitimately don’t think I’ve heard a wack El-P song. Oh wait… Yeah, never mind. Lol. I definitely hate at least one El-P song. Fantastic Damage had one track that I thought was really terrible. The overwhelming majority of his shit is phenomenal though. I think it’d be really cool if Bigg Jus was featured on the next Run the Jewels album, but I don’t think that’s very likely. It’d be a great surprise though. I’m really looking forward to Run the Jewels 4. I’m not really expecting it to come out this year, but I know at one point they said it’d drop on September 7th. That obviously didn’t happen though. I actually think Run the Jewels is the best thing El-P has been involved in, but I’d still really like to hear a solo album as well. Again, he’s not dropping records every single year, so that probably won’t happen any time soon. I’m looking forward to whatever he does in the future though. He’s awesome.
